3rd Officers (Maritime) must be able to keep navigational watch and perform deck duties as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• A higher diploma in maritime studies or above is usually required
• Relevant certificates recognised by ocean going sector and/ or river trade sector; Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) Class 3
• 12 to 36 months sea-time experience
