Data Centre Specialists are responsible for the installation, operation and monitoring of the facilities and equipment in the data centres.

Project management skills

Data Centre Specialists need to supervise and monitor the installation and upgrading of the data network systems in the data centres.

Network system knowledge and skills

Data Centre Specialists must be able to evaluate the existing system and propose the new equipment to the management for enhancing the services.

Minimum Requirements

• Typically have a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics, computer science, or related disciplines
• Corporate members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in Information Discipline, or equivalent
• 4 to 6 years of working experience in telecommunications field
