Radiographers perform diagnostic imaging examinations by administering radiation treatments such as X-ray and radioactive materials on patients.

Professional knowledge and skills in using radiation on medical purpose

Radiographers must be able to use professional radiation knowledge and skills to perform imaging diagnostic tests for patients.

Minimum Requirements

• generally have a bachelor of science degree in Radiography awarded by the Hong Kong Polytechnic or the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, or equivalent
• must be a registered radiographer of the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance
• must hold a valid practicing certificate issued by the Radiographers Board under the Supplementary Medical Professions Council of Hong Kong
