Description of Tasks

Shipping Agents buy and sell shipping services, usually in bulk, on behalf of their own company or for customers on a commission basis. They usually take orders from customers and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform. They prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.

Shipping knowledge and skills

Shipping Agents must always apply professional knowledge and skills in shipping to solve issues and problems at work. They must be able to track delivery progress of shipments.

Minimum Requirements

• Secondary school education or above
• 1-2 years of experience in related field
