Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the incumbent will be responsible for the Association’s extensive banquet business
  • Explore and identify new business opportunities and solicit event and banquet sales to achieve our business goals
  • Prepare different business/banquet packages and event proposals to meet market trend and clients’ needs
  • Respond to enquiries and conduct site inspection to clients in a professional manner
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef on menu design and work closely with the banquet service team on ensuring seamless and memorable events
  • Liaise and coordinate with all concerned departments prior to the event, and be ready to support on site to ensure smooth delivery of services
  • Manage the budget, monthly sales reports and forecasts for the banquet business;
  • Keep abreast of market trends and continuously develop online and offline promotional channels
  • Participate in any ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Hospitality / Marketing or related disciplines Minimum 5 years in sales and event management preferably in Hospitality industry, with 2 years in managerial level
  • Possess proven successful record in meeting challenging business targets
  • Service-oriented and good team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Chinese Word Processing, social media and familiar with useful creative and design tools Identify with the vision, mission and values of YMCA of Hong Kong as a faith-based organization
  • Applicant with less experience will be considered as Assistant Banquet Sales Manager
