We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science & Technology:

Research Assistant I (R6490/R7044/Project No.: TBRF/2024/1.10) (S&T) (Ref: 24001K3)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee(s) will mainly assist the research team in one of the following research projects: “A Study of Distributed Service-aware Wireless Cellular Networks (DS-WCNs): From User Demand Modeling to Performance Optimization” (R6490); “Intelligent Data-driven Wireless Networks” (R7044); and “A Study of Sustainability-aware Wireless Digital Twin Networks (WDTNs) with Adaptation” (TBRF/2024/1.10). He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Performing problem analysis and algorithm design;
  • Assisting in paper writing and presentation of the results;
  • Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the Investigator; and
  • Providing effective research and teaching-related assistance dedicated by the supervisor.

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A Master’s degree or above, preferably a PhD degree, in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • Candidates who have research experience and top journal publications (e.g. IEEE TMC, IEEE TWC, IEEE JSAC, IEEE TSP, etc.) in intelligent wireless communications, resource management, MEC, digital twins, and edge serverless are preferred; and
  • Candidates with proficient English speaking and writing abilities are preferred.

Duration of Appointment
12 months
