The HKUST MBA Programs is searching for a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Manager. The appointee will be part of the MBA student team and will be responsible for the following key areas of dedicated cohorts of MBA students:

  • Student Engagement and Activities: serve as the main focal contact point and key coordinator on student affairs for designed cohorts of MBA students (mainly Part-time MBA). Build positive and professional relationship with students, provide useful advice and solutions for students' enquiries, and uphold academic's and university's policies whenever necessary. The appointee will craft and implement communication plans with students, and organize a range of student activities such as program orientations, networking events/webinars and regular meetings with students.
  • Project Planning: coordinate and provide relevant support on various events/webinars hosted by MBA Office. The appointee will also coordinate different new initiatives for the MBA programs, and cross-team process alignment to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Course Support: assist with course preparation, operation, and delivery. This includes tasks such as venue booking, course material purchases, copyright clearance, preparation of students' profiles, class announcements and course materials.

Administrative and Ad-hoc Support: handle daily administrative work and documentations related to student affairs, and provide ad-hoc support as requested by supervisor(s).
Applicants should have a strong bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate should be a strong team player with proactive work attitude, multi-tasking skills and high efficiency. The appointee should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in public relations, project coordination and students' management, as well as adaptability to new technologies will be an advantage. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required. Working outside normal office hours or during occasional weekends may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable).

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave and medical benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
