Student Special Support Office
Ref. no : O/SSSO/Term_AL(SEN)/07/24Major Duties:(a)To liaise and work with different academic departments / operational units on the support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN);(b)To carry out duties in relation to students with SEN and academic administration such as special assessment arrangement, exemption and related logistic arrangement;(c)To provide additional tutorial support, remedial classes, mentorship, or other related format to support the learning of students with SEN;(d)To assist in developing and refining programme curriculum, teaching materials and project work specifically for students with SEN;(e)To provide central support in coordinating and implementing dedicated services / activities for students with SEN in promoting an inclusive culture on campus; and(f)To consolidate and prepare periodic reports on the services provided for students with SEN.

Requirements:(a)A recognised degree preferably in Education, Education (Special Needs), Social Science, or relevant discipline, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;(b)Preferably with some relevant experience in rendering support services to students with SEN;(c)A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; and(d)Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.

Notes:(1)The post is in the rank of Teaching Associate.(2)Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.(3)Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.(4)Immediate availability is preferred.(5)In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.(6)The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and at different work locations as assigned.Application Procedures:Interested applicants should apply for the post via email.
