The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

THE JOB

Reporting to the Associate Director of Elite Training Science and Technology, the Sports Information and External Affairs Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• To manage the implementation and development of the HKSI's China and international partnership programmes;
• To contribute to the creation of new institutional relationships with key external parties in China and internationally;
• To enhance the HKSI's sports information capabilities, including international sports performance tracking and policy trends, utilizing data analytics systems to provide just-in-time relevant information to HKSI's internal and external stakeholders;
• To coordinate the secretariat service for scientific forums and symposiums;
• To manage the HKSI's research and related project finances, record-keeping and reporting;
• To maintain and manage the HKSI's Sport Library; and
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS**

• A university degree in social science, sport science, research methods or a relevant discipline;
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience;
• High level of literacy, preferably with publication record;
• Proficiency in both verbal and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
• Excellent communication skills applicable to a multicultural environment;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Knowledge of elite sports systems in Hong Kong /China/internationally is an advantage; and
• Awareness/knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong
