Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential special situations investments in APAC.
  • Evaluate and assess investment opportunities, including due diligence and financial modelling.
  • Develop investment strategies and business plans, and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Negotiate and structure investment deals, including terms, pricing, and risk allocation.
  • Oversee the execution and completion of investment transactions, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the special situations investment portfolio.
  • Implement value creation initiatives and asset enhancement strategies to maximize returns.
  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of portfolio investments, identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective asset management and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and pursue co-investment opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify investment themes and potential target sectors for special situations investments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on market dynamics and investment strategies.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in investment management, private equity, or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Hong Kong and APAC market, including regulatory frameworks and industry dynamics.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Korean is advantageous.
  • Solid financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal structuring abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
  • Professional network and strong relationship management skills.
