Job description

Cathay United Bank Company, Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiwan’s largest financial group Cathay Financial Holdings. The Bank’s Hong Kong Branch is currently looking for high-calibre candidates and experienced professionals to join as a part of the growing business and develop their careers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a generalist who supports learning management, upskilling & reskilling and talent development
  • Assess training needs, devise and implement training plan within budget
  • Coordinate learning activities, monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness
  • Develop and conduct training programs
  • Administer training subsidy program, course enrolment & online learning
  • Review and devise HR policies and procedures in line with operational needs and in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Compile periodic HR analytics, management reports and training records
  • Reinforce employee communication, lead & coordinate staff engagement activities
  • Support other HR duties, including but not limited to talent acquisition & staffing, business partnership to support business strategic initiatives, employee relations and ad hoc HR projects from time to time

Candidates are expected to possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, with HR-related training a plus
  • At least 6 years’ relevant HR experience, preferably from financial institutions
  • Well versed in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and related legislations, familiar with HR practices in financial industry an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with stakeholders
  • Good presentation and project management skills
  • Organized and attentive to details, be accountable and creative
  • Self-motivated, a good team player and able to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) for Banking Practitioners
  • Good English & Chinese writing skills; fluent in spoken Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English
