Job description

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following positions in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited (HKFMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the HKMA:

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the process, procedures, controls and governance related to application development, infrastructure installation and user support for in-house IT projects
  • Lead a team and work closely with different business units to translate requirements into effective technological solutions
  • Oversee IT strategic planning and budgeting
  • Develop, revise, and implement policies, processes, and standards related to information technology, data management, and cybersecurity.
  • Work with various financial institutions, central securities depositories and technology companies in the development of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU)

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in computer science, business information systems, information technology or related fields
  • At least 5 years of relevant IT experience in banking and finance sector
  • Good knowledge of key financial market infrastructures, such as central securities depositories and payment system and their front-to-back office operations
  • Proven experience on designing, building, deploying medium to large scale platform, banking or ecommerce solutions using modern technologies
  • Strong leadership skills and solid experience in leading a team
