Job Responsibilities
- Assistant the Senior Manager of HIRD to maintain the daily operations of the health information and medical records services
- Establish, update, and enhance the standard of record management system, related IT systems and their compliance to international standards and the security and privacy ordinance
- Ensure security of all patient medical records and maintain a proper control of patient records
- Liaise with other departments on areas related to health information and records management
- Conduct clinical coding audits / review and compile coding audit reports for quality improvement
- Provide training programs to staff on areas related to health information and records systems.
- Assist in managing patient and hospital services statistics
Requirements
- A university degree in Health Care discipline or equivalent
- With at least five years’ relevant experience
- Knowledge of clinical coding, medical terminology and health care / hospital statistics is preferred
- Good communication and customer service skills, self-initiative and responsible
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work commitments to achieve specific deadlines
- Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Able to work independently and supervise the team
