Job description

Founded in 1948, Chong Hing Bank is a well-established commercial bank in Hong Kong with a network of more than 40 branches and sub-branches. The Bank became a member of Yuexiu Group, one of the largest state-owned enterprises in Guangzhou, in 2014. In recent years, the Bank has been actively expanding its business in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Procurement and Logistics functions in accordance with the Bank’s business strategy;
  • Develop and implement related strategy with best cost management practices to continuously enhance cost efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Formulate and review related policies, guidelines and procedures to comply with the Bank’s policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Manage to liaise with vendors and internal units to negotiate contract to the best interest of the Bank, and oversee the timely fulfillment of Bank-wide IT and non-IT procurement contracts;
  • Manage the expenses according to the approved budgets;
  • Prepare management reports for the monitoring of the quality and cost-effectiveness of services provided to all departments;
  • Ensure optimal facility performance, supervise and monitor the work progress on maintenance, improvement and repairing works; and
  • Perform other ad hoc projects or assignments.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related business disciplines;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in related fields with at least 4 years’ playing supervisory capacity in procurement, preferably in banks or financial institutions;
  • Well-versed in the supervisory policies and guidelines issued by local regulatory bodies;
  • Client-centric, proactive and agile in solving problems and handling ad hoc situation;
  • Strong self-motivation with ability to work under pressure, good communication and leadership skills; and
  • Excellent analytical and with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua.
