Job description

Responsibilities:

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with emerging technologies and business models in the fintech space, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
• Legal Support for Blockchain Initiatives: Provide legal advice on blockchain technology applications, including smart contracts, tokenization, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects.
• Digital Infrastructure Development: Assist in the legal aspects of developing and deploying digital infrastructure, including partnerships with technology providers and service agreements.
• Web 3.0 Projects: Provide legal guidance on Web 3.0 initiatives, including decentralized applications (dApps), governance models, and community engagement strategies.
• Policy Research: Conduct research on emerging legal issues, develop and implement corresponding policies and procedures related to blockchain and digital assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, compliance, and business units, to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, with a strong academic record.
• Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction with at least 8-10 years of experience, either in-house or with private practice.
• Past work experience as a transaction lawyer in fund formation / asset-backed securitization / structured finance / financial regulation / fintech space is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-oriented solutions.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin is a MUST).
