Job description
AsiaWorld-Expo is a world-class exhibition, convention and events venue offering over 70,000 square metres of rental space. With 10 state-of-the-art, ground-level and column-free halls including the AsiaWorld-Arena - the biggest purpose-built indoor seated entertainment arena in Hong Kong with a maximum capacity of 14,000; the AsiaWorld-Summit - Hong Kong's largest indoor conference and banquet venue that seats 700 to 5,000 persons; and the Runway 11 - the venue's latest conference and function hall for 500 to 3,800 guests, AsiaWorld-Expo is Asia's only column-free, ground-level exhibition, convention and events venue which is fully integrated with the World's Best Airport, Hong Kong International Airport (World Airport Survey by Skytrax).
The complex is located at the centre of an extensive and efficient air, land, and marine transport network which connects Hong Kong to China's Pearl River Delta and the world's business capitals. It is ideally suited to hosting world-class exhibitions, conventions, concerts, sports, and entertainment events.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the key members of senior management team and internal departments
- Manage and oversee the Venue Operations, Venue Services and Customer Services Units
- Oversee the daily operations of the venue and deliver quality customer services to the organizers, visitors and event goers
- Oversee and manage the service performance of the external service providers
- Formulate, plan, manage and deliver quality logistic and services to support the events held in the Venue
- Formulate operational and customer services strategies to maintain operational productivity and efficiency
- Upgrade standard of services in compliance with various rules and regulations
- Develope and maintain strong relationship with external stakeholders
- Evaluate the effectiveness of management practices, processes, and activities; recommends or otherwise ensures appropriate measures are taken to maximize the performance of all Units under Venue Operations and Services Department
- Establish and monitor operational staff performances and development goals; assigns accountabilities, sets objectives; and establishes priorities and reporting systems
- Prepare and manage annual operating budget
- Prepare management reports
- Perform any ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Property Management, Estate Management, or related disciplines
- Minimum 15 years of property operation experience. Experience in first class MICE venues will be an advantage
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to motivate and nurture the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to teamwork and interact with all levels of stakeholders. Able to manage cross-Units operations effectively
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight timeline
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
