Job Posting Details The Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering is looking for a high-caliber candidate to fill the position of Technical Officer to work with the major research and teaching laboratories. The appointee will be responsible for:

  • the daily operation of the major research and teaching laboratories, including equipment procurement;
  • advising and providing technical support to postgraduate students and research staff in the related research fields;
  • assisting in the teaching lab courses; and
  • performing any ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic or computer engineering, preferably with relevant work experience in wire bonding and wafer dicing. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of responsibility, be self-initiative and able to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team. They should have good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in analog and digital circuit design with EDA tools (Cadence and Synopsys) and proficiency in LINUX and PC system administration are preferred. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
