Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association (AKA) is a non-profit organisation that actively provides multi-faceted integrated services and serving people of different ages with the clear vision of striving for excellence and developing a sustainable society. AKA has formulated a 10-year development blueprint in 2020 for the sustainable development of public value. Social Service, Education Service and Health Service are the three pillars of services contributing to the public value.

We are seeking high-calibred and dedicated candidates who are interested to accept the challenge of operating the Southern District Health Centre (SDHC) in line with the government policy and AKA’s strategic development by joining our multi-disciplinary team and meeting the healthcare needs of the residents in the Southern community. The DHC is a primary healthcare initiative of the Government. Through public-private partnership, medical-social collaboration, it provides district-based primary healthcare services which comprise comprehensive Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Prevention programmes targeting community members of varying ages and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of primary health care service by providing situational and capacity analysis, proposing service strategies and recommendations, in line with the Agency strategic direction
  • Prepare annual plan and budget plan
  • Lead and supervise the team on execution of the service development / initiative health project and implementation plan, and evaluate the implementation plan to achieve the set targets / objectives in primary health care services
  • Guide the teams to develop capacity, system, policies and guidelines to assure quality deliverable, efficiency and continuous improvement in primary health care service
  • Establish and develop long-term strategic partnership with medical group and family doctor and related association for facilitating the service development
  • Establish and develop collaborative partnership both internal and external stakeholders including university, commercial partner and local leader which align with the direction with primary health care service
  • Manage the centre environment to make sure which all are in good condition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Public Health, Information Technology, Marketing or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of post-graduation and related working experience in social or health service with at least 8 years experiences at managerial level
  • Good knowledge on social and health services, service management, people management, resource deployment and finance management
  • Good communication skills with stakeholders and community partners
  • Mature personality, strategic-minded with vision, strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
  • Self-motivate with the ability to work under pressure and strong decision making skills
  • Good command of both written and oral English, excellent in Chinese / Cantonese / Putonghua
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager
  • Shift duty including night shift until 9:15pm per week maybe required
