The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education.
We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Leading a small team of supporting staff in the provision of administrative services and support in the Undergraduate Admissions Team of the Registry;
- Administering student admission for undergraduate (UG) programmes, including JUPAS and non-JUPAS admissions, and contributing to the enhancements in the area;
- Coordinating the operations of SSSDP admission and updating the programme information;
- Preparing data and statistical reports for UG admissions;
- Liaising with academic/administrative units and external parties on admissions and related functions;
- Assisting in system development, system enhancement implementation and admission websites maintenance to suit the needs of admissions;
- Assisting in admission policy and operation review and implementation of policies, regulations, and procedures;
- Providing support to committee work; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Registrar or his/her nominee(s).

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- Recognized degree with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience; preferably in the administration and operations of student admission;
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
- Good interpersonal, communication and data analytics skills;
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with the use of technology in administration;
- Ability to handle multitasking, with good organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team; and
- Strong commitment, ability to work under pressure and capacity to embrace new changes.
