Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and the executive management team.
- Lead long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
Operational Efficiency:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems.
- Ensure the efficient management of financial resources, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital allocation.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance and support for professional development and career progression within the finance department.
- Ensure the finance team is adequately resourced and structured to meet business needs.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, regulatory bodies, and other external partners.
- Present financial results and strategic financial plans to the board of directors and executive management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in financial management within a large-scale entity, preferably with a focus on Hong Kong markets.
- Strong strategic thinking and financial planning skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in Hong Kong.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with financial management software and ERP systems.
