We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:

Manager (School of S&T) (S&T)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Providing administrative support in the planning, promotion, coordination and monitoring of the programmes and courses offered by the School;
  • Liaising with staff of the University and external parties to ensure that the programmes and courses are planned, developed and presented smoothly;
  • Handling administrative duties involved in learning and teaching activities, and student related matters;
  • Planning, coordinating and managing for new initiatives in the development of the School, its Departments and programmes;
  • Providing secretarial support to committees;
  • Providing administrative support to the daily operation of the general office;
  • Supervising supporting staff; and
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, with at least 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to respond proactively to rapidly changing needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills;
  • An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
  • Good computer skills.
