Hit The Promenades

There are many promenades in Hong Kong where you can go for a stroll or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of Victoria Harbour. These pet-friendly spaces attract joggers and cyclists, who relish the smooth, flat, tree-lined paths and the chance to exercise by the water.

One of the most impressive is the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, which stands out with its calligraphy pillars and open lawn—perfect for picnics and sunset watching. The adjacent Art Park also hosts regular alfresco performances, giving you another reason to check out the area.

Stretching from Shek Tong Tsui to Sheung Wan, the Central and Western District Promenade boasts a wide, paved walkway, play areas for kids, and great views of the Kowloon skyline. The Kwun Tong Promenade is also worth visiting. It offers stellar vistas of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and features a wooden boardwalk that hosts markets and events on weekends.

If you have pets, you'll love the Quarry Bay Promenade. It has a large pet garden where dogs can roam off the lead. In this area, you'll also find a decommissioned fireboat, the Alexander Grantham, with multimedia exhibits on marine rescue work in Hong Kong.
