Located in the heart of Asia, Hong Kong benefits from a unique geographical advantage with strong support from the motherland while also being closely connected to the world. This combination makes Hong Kong the only city in the world to benefit from the Mainland's strengths and international advantages. By establishing a presence in Hong Kong, individuals and businesses can gain access to the global market and enjoy limitless development opportunities
Business connectivity driven by the international transport hub
As one of the world's leading international aviation hubs, Hong Kong is connected by over 120 airlines to more than 220 destinations worldwide, linking Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Most major Asian cities, like Tokyo, Singapore, and Seoul, can be reached within a mere five-hour flight from Hong Kong, making Hong Kong an ideal gateway to areas where approximately half of the world's population resides.
On the domestic front, flights from Hong Kong to major Mainland cities like Beijing and Shanghai take no more than 3.5 hours. Travelling to the "9+2" cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Macau, is reduced to just one hour. This not only facilitates the integration of people, goods, capital, and information flows but also provides vast development space for talent in Hong Kong.
Business expansion made easier with convenient multi-entry permits
To accelerate talent mobility, the Mainland and Hong Kong have implemented a "southbound and northbound" two-way flow. The Mainland authorities have announced that eligible Mainland talent from the Greater Bay Area, Beijing and Shanghai can apply for a "southbound" exit endorsement valid for up to 5 years with multiple entries to Hong Kong, while the stay duration for holders of business visit endorsements has been doubled to 14 days. For "northbound" talent, the process has also been made more convenient. The Mainland authorities have announced that foreign personnel of registered Hong Kong companies can now apply online via Chinese Visa Application Service Center for a multi-entry visa valid for 2 years or more.
Furthermore, non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents can apply for a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 5 years. These changes greatly facilitate the development of business talent in Hong Kong and their enterprise expansion into the Mainland.
In conclusion, Hong Kong's comprehensive transportation network and policies promoting talent mobility make it not only a convenient location for those working in or expanding businesses, but also a hub of global development opportunities. Regardless of the industry, Hong Kong is undoubtedly an ideal place to foster both prosperous careers and businesses.
