Michelin-starred Eats

As a global food capital, Hong Kong is home to an impressive array of eateries, and 71 restaurants were awarded Michelin stars in 2022. There are seven with three: 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana, Caprice and Lung King Heen at the Four Seasons, Forum and L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Sushi Shikon and T'ang Court — plus 11 with two stars and 53 with one star. If you're looking for an unforgettable dim sum experience, try Lung King Heen's signature Pineapple Pork Buns with Barbecued Pork and Pine Nuts.
The Michelin Guide also recognised sustainable practices with its Green Star. Two recipients were the two-starred Amber at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Roganic by British chef Simon Rogan. Chef Richard Ekkebus at Amber embraces sustainability in French fine dining by partnering with eco-conscious producers and suppliers to reduce waste and minimise the use of non-recyclable materials. Chef Rogan at Roganic, on the other hand, showcases local produce from organic farms for dishes like the 14-day Aged Duck Glaze with Hong Kong Honey.
Beyond the starred establishments, Hong Kong's culinary scene shines with 64 Bib Gourmand, 49 Michelin Selected, and 15 street food venues that captured the attention of Michelin inspectors currently. Try Ting Hung for Cantonese roast meats, To Kwa Wan for fish balls drizzled with chilli oil, and the neighbourhood shop Hung Hom Pancake for tricolour egg waffles in plain, chocolate, or matcha flavours.
