Our client is at the forefront of the publishing, education, retail, and e-learning industries. Renowned for their innovative approaches and leadership in integrating advanced technology with traditional media, they are currently seeking a talented Art Director to join their dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Art Director, who reports directly to the CEO, plays a crucial role in maintaining the visual direction and artistic integrity of the company's educational publishing materials. This key position is responsible for utilizing state-of-the-art AI technologies to enhance productivity and ensure that the highest standards of artistic excellence are consistently met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Direct and guide the art team, ensuring visual excellence and coherence across all projects and product lines.

Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with the editorial, marketing, and production teams, as well as with AI and technology experts, to capture project visions and transform conceptual ideas into impactful designs.

Team Management: Oversee the art team’s operations, set priorities, and guarantee the timely delivery of superior artwork and designs.

Talent Development: Recruit, coach, and cultivate a team of skilled artists and designers, fostering a creative and collaborative workspace.

Industry Awareness: Remain abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the art, design, and AI fields, seamlessly integrating these into our processes.

Brand Consistency: Develop and maintain brand guidelines and visual standards, ensuring consistency across all educational content.

Vendor and Tool Management: Manage freelance artists, external vendors, and AI tool utilization as needed.

Project Execution: Manage and execute ad hoc projects as they arise.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art, Design, or a related discipline.

Experience: At least 10 years in publishing, design, or printing, with a demonstrated ability to lead sizable teams.

Languages: Fluent in English and Chinese.
