Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Key person in financial control.
- Review the daily finance operation and reporting of General Insurance, ensure the daily operation is running smoothly.
- Review the payment and receipt journals and month end closing.
- Prepare premium / claims / reinsurance data for actuarial team, business, auditor, regulatory filing.
- Handle data and reports reconciliation.
- Involve in various projects such as IFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC.
- Handle investment projects.
- Prepare supporting documents, financial statements and other statutory filings for external auditors and regulator.
- Involve in business initiatives, systems enhancements and finance projects.
- Carry out ad hoc and other duties assigned from time to time.
- Report to CEO.
Professional Qualification
- Degree holder in Accounting and professional accountancy qualification.
- 5 years’ general insurance experience in financial accounting field with audit experience.
- General Insurance business experience is must.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Responsible, self-motivated and pro-active.
- Able to work under pressure and able to solve problem independently.
- Detail-minded with strong sense of responsibilities, good working attitude.
- Able to work with and analyze large amount of data.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Chinese word processing .
