Executive Officer (Ref. 240912018-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) develop, plan and execute business processes, initiatives and policies pertaining to research postgraduate programmes including various scholarship schemes, admission and graduation;
(b) evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of various activities and propose changes for pursuing excellence and impact;
(c) prepare agreements, proposals, reports, presentation materials, facts and statistics, etc. in a professional manner;
(d) proactively collaborate with other divisions of the School and to take part in other projects;
(e) serve on committee at university level, and other working groups and/or task forces;
(f) maintain professional and effective internal and external communications with relevant stakeholders; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least five years of solid administrative experience in managing research postgraduate students in higher education setting, with a strong conceptual understanding of regulations and procedures related to research postgraduate programmes;
(c) a good analytical and open mindset and be able to make prudent judgement;
(d) strong organisational skills and a high level of computer literacy;
(e) excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
(f) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua; and
(g) a positive working attitude and be able to work independently as well as a good team player to gain rapport from stakeholders.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
