Reports To: Cargo Airline Partnerships Manager

Department: Cargo Commercial (CGO)

The Assistant Manager, Cargo Airline Partnerships is a key member of the Cargo Revenue Management team. This job holder will drive the airline partnerships development to grow and diversify our network and customer offers towards more healthy financial contribution to the Cathay Pacific Group.

Key Responsibilities

Partnerships development

• Execute the airline partnerships strategy to maximize overall value generation.
• Collaborate with commercial team leads to match interline sales with network needs.
• Conduct periodic interline revenue performance analysis to identify revenue opportunities and drive improvements.
• Act as “account manager” for our key airline partners and responsible for overall relationship, commercial and operational development.

Partnerships operations

• Drive automation and process development as well as its implementation to smooth overall interline experience for our customers.
• Improve alignment across the value chain, e.g. booking, inventory, service delivery and finance, to facilitate airline partnerships development.
• Champion data usage and facilitate scalable insight-led airline partnerships development.
• Contribute to initiatives and projects as subject matter expert that involve airline partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in an analytical discipline, such as business, science and engineering.
• Prefer 5 years of relevant experience. Prior exposure with Lean, process improvement and project management would be an advantage.
• Advance skill in data visualization and BI tools, e.g. Alteryx, QlikSense, QlikView, MS PowerPoint, Excel etc.
• Natural ability as strategies implementer - act as the bridge between commercial & technical and sales & operations; equip with good communication & presentation skills.
• Excellent research and benchmarking capabilities - conduct market research and competitive analysis on international airfreight and trade dynamics.
• Comfortable with numbers and, more importantly, curious to understand stories behind numbers and able to drive behavioural improvement through numbers.
• Strong leadership talents – equip with “team player” attitude and spirit, and the natural ability to establish consensus among cross-functional lines.
