Job Summary:

The Procurement Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our Procurement Department in Hong Kong, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing teams, optimizing operational workflows, and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Department Operations:

• Direct and control the planning and implementation of all purchasing and contracting activities
• Liaise with suppliers & internal departments on purchasing orders, processes & shipments
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the existing purchasing operation, sourcing and negotiation strategies to support their business needs
• Identify potential suppliers to source new products to enhance the product portfolio
• Explore reliable suppliers, new business initiatives, negotiate with vendors to achieve competitive price and terms
• Conduct vendor management to ensure all vendors meet Company standards
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to build a high-performing operations team

Shipping functions:

• Liaise with factory, carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipment
• Schedule shipments to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams and external suppliers in order to fulfil process management
• Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Control cost of logistics service providers and review their performance

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder or above, preferably in Supply Management/Purchasing or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years relevant managerial working experience in Food & Beverage industry (Manufactory) and Import/Export is preferable
• Strong leadership qualities and committed to achieving strategic results
• Strategic thinking and planning ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication/ presentation skills
• A good team leader and able to steer and work in collaboration with others to deliver results
• Analytical, innovative, able to manage complexity and work under pressure.
• Good at Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Processes excellent communication skills with good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
