Position Summary

Work closely with the Senior Manager in the Talent Solutions team to design, plan and execute talent, learning and development solutions to support the Bank in building a strong talent pipeline for the future. Support the team in identifying talent gaps and needs of the Bank for future capacity building and adopt appropriate approach to rendering effective development solutions for different talent groups, e.g. high-potential senior managers, mid-career talents, young talents, etc. Partnering with the business and with guidance from the supervisor, implement the talent development framework and end-to-end processes, from talent identification, talent review, programmatic development interventions, to designing and conducting learning and development programmes, and career development planning within the Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Source vendors and seek quotations for training services, evaluate the cost efficiency of talent development related expenses as well as administer the invoice submission and related payment processes.
  • Manage the use of development resources in the most cost-effective manner
  • Handle the requests of internal customers on talent related, learning and development issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect and analyze stakeholders’ feedback on the quality and relevancy of talent solutions/ development programmes and interventions for continuous service review and enhancement. Stakeholders, including staff, talents, lines of business or function and management, etc.
  • Assist the supervisor in keeping track of feedback from user departments and providing professional advice on relevant talent solutions and services
  • Assist the supervisor in analyzing the talent gap and need analysis in the responsible scope of work to support the formulation and execution of work plans
  • Design, develop, update and revamp the talent, learning and development programmes/ solutions in an efficient, effective and thorough manner
  • Manage and coordinate the administration and logistics of the talent development programmes/ solutions for quality delivery
  • Maintain an updated database of relevant talent pool, their development status and record and perform timely analysis for insights
  • Share knowledge with team members and assist team members to plan and implement various talent, learning and development programmes and solutions
  • Collaborate with other staff members within the department as a team to provide professional talent development services and solve operational issues
  • Assist in bank-wide and divisional projects related to talent building, talent retention, talent reskilling or upskilling, learning and development, career development and corporate development, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage ad hoc talent development related projects
  • Keep abreast of the market trends in talent development, best practices and benchmark performance with market standards

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably major in business, HR management, organisational / occupational psychology; OR
  • Certified Banker (by HKIB) or equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the talent assessment and development, leadership, learning and development fields, preferably in the banking and financial industry.
  • Good knowledge of the methodology and tools of talent management, leadership/ training and development, e.g. psychometric tools such as DiSC, Development Centre, skill profiling, etc.
  • Passionate in people development, mature and tactful
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Adaptive to change and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
