Key Responsibilities

• Implement and develop new test/methods in supporting the clinical needs and advise for any finding of the pathology results;
• Review quality control for different tests before releasing the results and take appropriate action of the result according to standard operation procedure before reporting;
• Continuously monitor the quality assurance of the performance in the laboratory in order to provide high quality standard of service; perform internal audit in the laboratory and put forward any suggestion for continuous improvement in the laboratory; obtain/ maintain Laboratory Accreditation;
• Supervise and mentor other staff as required to support learning and operations in the laboratory;
• Shoulder some administration responsibilities in personnel and budget management, Laboratory Service Pricing Strategy;
• Advise manpower and service planning of the laboratory; develop and monitor various performance KPI; provide training to the staff; and
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s)

Job Requirements

• Holder of a Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or other related disciplines
• Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (Part I) with a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board of HK
• At least 12 years’ experience in accredited Pathology Laboratory
• Experience in managerial role is definitely an advantage
• Strong leadership qualities, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Compensation and Employment Terms

We provide a unique employment experience for people seeking careers in hospital and healthcare industry; and offer competitive remuneration packages to the successful candidates. Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
