We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team for one of the Core Banking HK (Online Banking System OBS) products / domains
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Solution Designer for the technical product under the Core Banking System API, responsible for the building and maintaining services under the Hong Kong Core Banking System Service Inventory
• Lead one high performing Agile team and collaborate with other Agile teams in Core Banking for the development of new services under the Core Banking Strategic Platform
• Drive the adoption of new UI platform using MWS (My WorkSpace), Core Banking Data on Cloud as well as new Core Banking data model
• Provide technical leadership to the Agile team in impact analysis, design, development, testing automation, implementation, and on-going maintenance on the Core Banking products
• Work with the Core Banking Platform Architect and Solution Architect to ensure alignment of the solutions with the strategic direction
• Maintain close communication with business representatives, operations and IT teams and coordinate IT related stakeholder activities
• Ensure compliance with group policies and standards, and internal control

Requirements - A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major in Information Technology or related field

• A minimum of 10 years’ IT software engineering experiences with focus on technology delivery and project delivery
• Solid domain knowledge and rich experience Core Banking Products, such as Deposit and Lending, or Core Banking Foundation/Infrastructure
• Solid experience in handling critical production incidents and ability to act as technical lead during incident recovery
• Experience in CICS, DB2, COBOL and zSeries platform
• Experience in Java / Open Technology would be an advantage
• Experience in Micro-services and Application Programming Interface (API) design, Data on Cloud and UI development would be an advantage
• Experience and good understanding on DevOps and Agile
• Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills
• Strong business sense with good understanding in how IT systems support business outcomes
• Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule
• Ability to embrace changes and open mindset to pursue latest technology
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
• Good command of spoken PuTongHua for working with Agile Teams in China
