As a Marketing Manager at a publishing company, you will be responsible for promoting high-quality books and building the company's brand awareness through strategic marketing campaigns and collaborations with key stakeholders.

The book publishing business is a strategic pivot of the organization to boost its presence in the market and the institutional prestige. Description

As a Marketing Manager within the Communications and Public Affairs Office at a publishing company, you will play a crucial role in promoting high-quality books and works from distinguished scholars, researchers, and authors to both local and global audiences. The publishing company aims to publish academic books, professional books, journals, and books of general interest, with a strong focus on its education, research, and knowledge transfer.

You will be a highly skilled marketing professional with a proven track record of executing successful marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective marketing plans to enhance the publishing company's brand awareness, proactively promoting books and authors, managing and overseeing marketing activities, including social media, webpage, book launch events, and creating marketing materials, such as promotional leaflets, souvenirs, and more. You will also support the distribution and marketing of new publications by building appropriate networks locally and overseas, including collaborations with vendors, bookstores, distributors, and publishing partners.

In addition to your marketing expertise, you will provide administrative support to the publishing company, including project management and data analysis. Staying up-to-date with market trends is essential, and you will be expected to perform any other duties as assigned by the Director.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess a recognised degree, preferably in a field related to Marketing, Communications, or Education. A minimum of eight years of marketing experience in the education sector, educational publishing, or similar fields is required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to form networks and relationships with key stakeholders, are essential. You should have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful market strategies, be innovative, strongly motivated, and possess excellent multitasking skills. Fluency in English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage.
