Our client is an international private bank with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them.

Reporting to the Head of Business Risk Management, you will act as the First Line of Defense (FLD) to implement and strengthen the selling process and investment suitability framework within the Front Office in Hong Kong. In addition, you will provide guidance to Front Office on suitability/selling process as well as conduct pre-determined, systematic, and comprehensive risk-based monitoring and review of Front Office and prepare reports for management attention. As part of the role, you will also participate in system and management projects related to enhancing the control landscape as well as assist in data analytics for better understanding of business habitat and risk awareness using regression, VBA Scripting and multiple visualizations (e.g., Microsoft Power BI).

To be considered, you should be a degree holder with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Private Banking or Asset Management business risk and controls. Previous experience in dealing with regulatory compliance, audits, and remediation work especially in products and investor suitability would together with strong interpersonal communication skills especially with senior bankers and management levels will be highly desirable as well as proficiency in MS Office. MS Power BI / Tableau, Avaloq knowledge and experience. Fluent in English and Cantonese is a must.
