The University now invites application for the following position:

**Physical Education Officer / Assistant Physical Education Officer – Student Affairs Office (Ref: PEO/APEO (SAO) 2024-09-20)

Responsibilities:

  • organise and promote sports and physical education training courses, activities and workshops;
  • coordinate University Sports Teams and handle related administration and logistics, including training and competition schedule arrangement and budget preparation;
  • arrange inter-institutional sports competitions and university-wide sports events; and
  • supervise the Physical Education Assistant and monitor the operation and safety of different sports, SAO venues and equipment.

Applicants should:

  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management / Physical Education / Sports / Recreation;
  • preferably hold recognised coaching certification issued by the respective national sports bodies, and a valid first-aid certificate;
  • have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in supervision, organising sports competitions, and managing sports teams;
  • have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • have effective administrative abilities and strong organisational skills;
  • have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • be able to work independently and efficiently.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings, on weekends and public holidays. Work experience in the higher education sector and immediately available will be an advantage. Applicants with less experience will be considered as Assistant Physical Education Officer.
