We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:

Assistant Lecturer / Teaching Assistant (A&SS) (Ref: 240020E)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Undertaking the delivery of courses (including classroom and/or studio teaching) with a focus on programming and development using Game Engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine;
• Marking of assignments, tests and examinations;
• Providing academic support and performing teaching-related and administrative duties;
• Engaging in scholarly activities and student development activities;
• Participating in School / University activities and administration; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (A&SS) or his/her nominee(s).

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognized Bachelor’s or Master degree in a relevant discipline;
• Competence in teaching and course administration;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to use English as the medium of instruction;
• Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; and
• Passionate in student development and training.
• Interest or experience in generative AI,visual and music design softwares, and pen-source electronic prototyping platforms is a plus.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
